ANTIVJ is a visual label initiated by a group of European visual artists, amongst them Bristol-based Joanie Lemercier, aka VJ Crustea. A far cry from the standard single-screen VJ set up, ANTIVJ use their own technology to map the space they are playing in and create immersive visual experiences.
Breaking out from the club scene, ANTIVJ have taken their art into public spaces, festival installations and even on their own street corner. Past projects include Light Up Bristol 2007, Transmedial in Berlin, and most recently at Mapping Festival in Geneva.
Your next chance to see ANTIVJ is on 5th June at the Venn Festival for a special set on Bristol's planetarium dome for legendary Mexican electronic producer Murcof. Watch the ANTIVJ trailer.
