Exeter science park takes step forward

SWRDA has invested £19 million to enable Devon County Council to purchase a 23 hectare site near junction 29 of the M5, unlocking the potential for a Science Park for the Exeter region by 2010. 

It is envisaged that the Science Park will create over 2000 jobs, new homes and £0.6 billion in investment, attracting knowledge intensive business to the region with strong links to the University of Exeter Innovation Centre and the Met Office.

The park will offer facilities to encourage enterprise, science and research development, including business space for start ups though to corporate HQs, a business hotel and conference facilities.
