The Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network, whose objective is increasing the innovation and knowledge within the UK technology sector, are staging two RFID†information days. The events include a visit to one of the UK's leading RFID centres of excellence, presentations from international industry leaders and the opportunity to network with experts and peers within the industry.
The presentations will not only cover the current and future status of the RFID industry but also look at the subject of the middleware used to interface between the data collection and the back office systems. †This area will be one of the fastest growing areas of RFID solutions in the coming years.

The RFID Centre at Bracknell was one of the first centres of excellence to be formed in the UK and is backed by some of the leading industry players. With over thirty RFID, Wireless and Mobility demonstrations it presents the largest collection of RFID technologies available in the UK and can assist with your understanding and evaluation process.

Event 2 - 15th May, European AIDC Centre of Excellence, Halifax - Full information
The European AIDC Centre of Excellence was established less than a year ago with backing from Yorkshire Forward and AIM. †The demonstrations are organised by sector (Retail, Logistics, Healthcare, Local Government etc.) rather than technology and this illustrates how RFID can impact a whole industry with an excellent end-to-end overview.
